Chroma FEST 2012!

We had such a super great time at our 1st annual Chroma FEST! I have a few photos to share from both nights. If you missed it this year, no need to fret, next year will be even BETTER! 🙂 Friday night was our Art show/open studios event and Saturday was the Music festival. We are considering combining the two into one BIG event for next year. All the art and music was amazing! Albuquerque has quite an awesome scene and Chroma Studios is overflowing with talented artists and musicians! Enjoy the photos (both days mixed in together) and we hope to see you next year!

Coming up at Chroma Studios!

It’s official! We have set the dates for our 4th anniversary Chroma Fest: Art, Music and Poetry show. First Friday, May 4th at our Central location we will have an open studios and art show opening. Artists who have their studios will open their doors so you can have a peek inside. We also plan to have some of our previous studio and gallery artists showing as well. Saturday, May 5th (also known around here as Cinco de Mayo!) will be the music and poetry show, an outdoor show/street party at our dead end section of Roma street. The patio will become the stage and several if not all of our studio bands will perform along with local poets and other musicians with a Chroma connection. The graffiti art show will be happening down in the Chroma basement halls all day Saturday as well. More information will be released as we know more. Stay tuned…… 🙂

November First Friday: November 5, 2010, 6-10 pm

This month we are having a silent auction for charity. Unlike many silent auctions that focus on one charity, this auction will benefit several charities. Those placing the winning bid on a piece will choose the charity for the proceeds on that particular piece. 50% of the sales will go to charity and 50% will go back …to the artists. There are many local charities doing great work right here in Albuquerque.  Just a few to mention are the Roadrunner Food Bank, the Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, the Wilderness Project, and Roberta’s Place.

The November First Friday Show will also be the beginning of our annual Holiday Art Sale. This show is always festive and fun with lots of fine art to choose from. Most of the pieces will be priced $250 and under! The holiday show will run through December 18th.  In addition, please be sure to visit our friends upstairs at Better Body & Beyond. Visit the link to find more information on their grand opening.
