Class Description: Explore the concepts and meanings of abstraction and their relevance in today’s world. Students will draw on imagery from nature and the visible world, personal experiences, ideas, dreams, and the history of abstract painting. No painting or drawing experience required. This course is suitable for beginning through advanced students.
Day/Time: Saturdays 1-4 pm for 6 weeks (Oct. 17 – Nov 21st)

About the teacher: Cindi Gaudette received her BFA in Painting and Drawing from The Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC. She taught Portrait Drawing at The Corcoran College of Art + Design as well working with students in the Afterschool Art Program in Charlottesville, VA. Cindi has exhibited in DC, Italy, and most recently in New Mexico. Her own work focuses on tapping into the past, memory, and the subconscious
